The Free Artillerie Company (FAC) will sponsor a School of the Soldier in this annual pre-1840 primitive period encampment and shooting event. Camp life to be maintained from set up till teardown. Drilling and tactical live fire exhibitions. Bring your victuals; port potties are on site and some fallen firewood. Juried event with entities that have shooting insurance. Potential new members welcome (contact POC prior to event). Small fee to cover port-a-potties may be levied; shooters provide own powder, ball, etc. Setup is on the 27th. Come have some fun and enjoy camp life and camaraderie!

This is the largest area Scottish Games and our attendance is centrol to portray 17th century life (a Montrose Army tradition for 10+ years!) Drilling, impromptu demos, interactions and processions for recruitment purposes. A "Walk Through History" public demo is held daily. Tmeline event (ECWSA sanctioned) - 1st Century Romans to present - on large, nice site (historical Coast Defense fort on high bluff overlooking the Pacific.) Seventeenth century presence will be Col. John Hampden's Regt. of Foot (ECWSA) and Montrose's Free Artillerie Company (ECWSA). Overnight camping permitted, cooking permitted; setup allowed Friday all day. This premier event of the Fresno Scottish Chapter (FAC) will feature the Free Artillerie Company (FAC) and other re-enactment groups/bands presenting Scottish military history on an exhibition field twice daily. Setup Friday.

Daily activities based on Storming of the town of Bolton during Prince Rupert's Lancashire Campaign, to include brigade drill, tactical engagement, living history, etc. Saturday evening will have a Tavern set-up for gaming and the usual reverly! More details to follow, but muster is also open to all 17th century units/sutlers - must pre-reg with ECWSA POC.

"Cultures at Contact" - A 17th Century Re-enactment of Native American's Village Life and Interaction with Colonial Europeans

Native, Dutch English and French re-enactors (c.1650-90 kit allowed) are invited to this event that focuses on the interaction between Europeans and Natives c.1680. Activities included a trade scenario, matchlock firing demos, 17th century clothing discussions and an afternoon battle (Natives/French vs. English/Dutch). Site offers the use of the reconstructed prehistoric houses for Native and French re-enactors, as space allows. Dutch/English are encamped close to the village in a lightly wooded area. While some native re-enactors are already registered, the site is still looking to attract more; please contact them with anyone appropriate. Possible stipend, free powder, or gas this year; depends on size of final funding (grant).

Pirate encampment (modern bathrooms, no site fee, etc.), with daily activities based on 1670-90s period around the real history of piracy and its connections to Havre de Grace, to include drill, tactical engagement as pirates attack the "town", witness the hangings and other living history activities. More details to follow, but muster is also open to ECWSA members with latter period coats (First Foot Guard/Jeffrey's Regt.) to portray the Crown Forces (tentative ECWSA participation).
